About the role
Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow office
Workplace type: hybrid working - min 1 day a week at the office. This is a minimum, but a successful candidate can opt to be office based 5 days per week.
Hours per week: 35
Type of contract: a fixed-term contract for 12 months (secondment cover)
Job Level and Salary Scale: Level 5, 34,398 - £42,043 per annum per annum (pay award pending)

What you’ll be doing
> Providing pragmatic, commercial, and employee-focused HR advice to managers and employees across our organisation.
> Acting as the first point of contact for employment issues, supporting Citizens Advice Bureaux across Scotland.
> Coaching and mentoring managers, fostering a culture of empowerment and growth.
> Shaping and implementing HR policies and initiatives that support both our strategic vision and our people’s needs.
> Supporting change management projects that make our organisation stronger, more inclusive, and more effective.
What we’re looking for
> A degree or equivalent qualification (preferably in HR or business) or substantial experience in a generalist HR role.
> Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience managing employee relations.
> A passion for people, culture, and engagement - we need someone who genuinely cares.
> The ability to problem-solve, think on your feet, and handle sensitive issues with confidence and discretion.
> Fantastic communication and influencing skills - you’ll be working with people at all levels.
> Experience in HR policy development, recruitment, and change management.
